Unhappy The good die young.

Sylvester showed up at the back door in December 2004. Within weeks he joined our five other strays. Today, I had to put him down due to kidney failure. This leaves me with the brother sister act who are seventeen. And there is the older brother (same mother) who is a very active nineteen year old. Sure will miss Sylvester. I take comfort that he now again rests in the arms of his mistress (my wife) who decided to take him in back in 2004.

So sorry, woofendog We had to say goodbye to a couple of ours in March, so I know how difficult it is.

Sylvester was not only handsome, but very lucky to have made the connection with you and your wife. She and Sylvester must have had a joyous reunion!

I'm very sorry. He was with you for 12 years but the impression they make on our hearts does not depend on the time they spend with us.

Sylvester

Thank you all for the kind words. The most difficult part is that I expected to have him for another six years or so. Sabrina, Smokey, Dude, as well as Woofer the dog all made it to at least 18 years. So he is back with my wife and I can still hear her complaining with a quiet laugh " I can't turn the pages with him". Closer to the end he would rush in to greet her in the morning with head butts and loud purring and she would say "He's drooling all over me". He did receive a whole lot of love but he also gave his share of love. Thank You.
