R.I.P Kathy, you will be missed
Kathy opened the bird center 22 yrs ago, she was a wonderful woman, I've had many dealings with the wild bird center in Ottawa, they've never refused to help me even though I'm not of that area. She passed away thursday,
we'll miss your happy smiling face Kathy http://www.ottawacitizen.com/Technol...592/story.html |

Melinda that's so sad,she seemed to have been very dedicated:sad:
We had a"birdlady"here in Oakville who died several years ago. I brought her several birds over the years, she cared for them out of her huge house on the Lakeshore rd. I brought her baby-birds,wounded birds,it did not matter to her what the birds were,it was a life worth saving. When she passed,I believe other bird-sanctuaries took at least the larger birds of prey, don't know what happened to the rest. Now our Humane Society takes the birds, they have a huge cage in the back of the building, but I am sure they cannot offer the love and care Mrs Smith did. wonderful lady
