When I was growing up we had a cat that would only eat soft food and so we feed her at certain times every day BUT she wanted food out all the time for her to eat. LOL Anyway if she was mad at us and we would walk past she would scratch us or bite us than we would feed her AGAIN and she would jump on our laps and purr like thanks see now was that hard. LOL

Me too! The only hope I have is that QC doesn't want to emulate ON in any way (for now)!

If it happens, I'll just move further out to the boonies. Funny, there's a few dogs in my neighbourhood who need muzzles, but none of them are pit bulls.

Hi, new here!

Hi! I'm new here, just joined today. I'm wondering if anyone can help me. I just adopted a puppy from my local shelter and all they knew was that he is a Pit Bull mix. Someone told me that he may be mixed w/ Bull Mastiff. I was wondering if anyone could give me their opinions on this?
I have to admit, I never thought well of Pit's, and I was actually looking for a small dog since I'm disabled and can't walk our dobie, but as soon as I walked into the room Modi was the first puppy I saw and his little ears went up and I fell in love! I didn't even know he had Pit in him b/c his cage card was missing and they had to look it up, but by that time I was already holding him and knew he was meant to come home w/ me! He's such a loving little guy and now I can't believe I actually thought badly of the breed! Especially since everyone said my dobie would "eat my babies"! LOL
Here is a picture of my little Modi...

He looks pure Pit to me, other than the ears are a little long, but sometimes you see that with pure pits. He's a cutie !

Haha - with those ears, he looks more like the Easter bunny.

He is just adorable. I see absolutely no Bull Mastiff either. He could be mixed, but there is definitely some pit bull in there.

Welcome to both you and the cute Modi.

LOL! Yes, he does have adorable bunny ears! I love it when they both go up all the way! The person who said he has Bull Mastiff in him said it was because his front paws are huge, but the back ones are small. He said that is a trait of their's. Thanks to everyone who replied. He's going back to the shelter this week to get fixed and microchiped. I don't know what I'm going to do w/out him! I just hope he doesn't have to stay long.

Thanks again!
Mikkelle & Modi!

The big feet - I was wondering if they are really that big, or it was because of the camera angle. Yes, I think he's mixed (pit bulls have quite dainty little feet!) The feet and ears make me think maybe with some big hound breed!

Mistruzzi~ I tried going to the sites you listed, but they wouldn't open. I'll try again tomorrow though! Thanks!

LuckyRescue~ I may have exaggerated a bit by saying they're "huge", but they're definitely bigger than his back paws. Thank you!

Oh! They are adorable!! The pic of Loca as a puppy looks exactly like Modi! (except for the coloring of course! lol) But wow! I can see that he might possibly be full Pit now. I guess I'll have to ask a vet to see if they know for sure. Thanks again!

Modi is such a cutie, it is really hard to tell what he is right now, he looks like a pit bull to me, but it ill be more clear when he is around 7-10 months old. But he is just adorable. And pitbulls do come in all colors sizes and shapes, i think i have another pic of my baby in this thread, but here is another one taking abath, and as you can see, she also has those bat ears
