Ha ha I love the one of Maika running away from Dakotah.

btw, if you up the brightness slightly and then up the contrast slightly, the snow will be white (usually- sometimes it doesn't work...). Overexposing helps too.
Sorry for the unexpected critique |

My favorite photo is the last one. heheh Dakotah's so sweet to let his lil sis be boss
the snow being blue has nothing to do with contrast. It has to do with how camera records light, or lack of. Sunlight is yellow and shade is blue and lighting a picture will not change the color tint |

hmm... But if the camera averages out the light to 18% grey, then the snow will become 18% grey, which will be helped by upping the brightness, which will fade the dogs, which will be helped by upping the contrast.
(That's why Dakotah's blue too) And even if it's caused by whatever light phenomenon, most of the time, you can fix it with the bright and contrast. Last edited by Prin; January 1st, 2007 at 09:49 PM. |

someone in my akita forum said "You're seeing the blue hue because the sun is not illuminating them. The blue you see is actually the blue of the sky being cast downward. If you want to fix that, add some yellow and reduce the cyan in the pics in your photo program"
any thoughts on adding yellow and reducing the cyan?

LOVE the foggy breath pic TD!!
Combined with the trees in the background, sorta makes him look like some majestic beast straight from the wild!! But he's not a beast....we all know that.
