Cardinal

I tossed out some hamster seed that my hammy doesn't care for (he only likes a certain brand) thinking some rodents living in the area would like to have it, but this fella was the first to show interest, must have been the black oil sunflower seeds that delighted him so much

Beautiful cardinal pics. They're real sunflower seed hounds those birds. Mine are starting to do their spring calling already....they'll be waking the neighbours up just before dawn every day now.
And just what does Lukka think of birds?

Great pics,Lukkas mom!!
I've notice a sure sign of spring, the Squirrels are chewing off their fur for nesting and they are very busy making babies.

Very nice! I love cardinals. They brighten up the yard any time of year.

he he I'm still chuckling over a hamster that is brand-fussy.

Very nice! I have 3 pairs this year. I love watching them and the Blue Jay couples. So do the kitties.
I have some brand fussy lovebirds too. Spoiled!

Funny how one gets so used to seeing regional birds that it doesn't occur to me that in the west you wouldn't have Cardinals. They are a dime a dozen here at any time of the year, almost as common as our sparrows
So common in fact that I hesitated to post them because anyone living in this area just looks out the window and there you have them
For those of you living outside of my area I would love to see some mountain bluebirds if you could post them for me.
