Jelly is Happy to Be Home! (Warning--Spay Pics)

I just got home with Jelly about a half hour ago. What nasty weather for her to come home to! The temps have warmed up nicely, but now we're dealing with freezing rain. Jelly was a trooper, walked out of the vet's office on leash. She wouldn't go potty for the vet techs, so we came home and went back out into the rain and she happily went in her own backyard. She's making herself at home on my bed now. Her favorite place to be lazy! She's acting almost normal already, so must be on some really good drugs.

What a sweetheart! I love her little crocheted sweater, too.

I'm so glad she's doing so well!

Just a heads-up--despite our vets telling us something to the contrary, dogs will allow another dog to lick their wounds, so keep an eye on Belle's tongue, too.

The incision does look like a 3 leaf clover as babymomma said! It's so tiny. Much smaller than my cats' were.

I'm glad she is doing well and Belle is being such a good big sister.

It does look like a little clover, LOL! Not sure if that's what my vet normally does or not! Belle's was longer and in straight line as she had a hernia that had to be fixed at the same time so a bigger surgical area. Hopefully Jelly won't get a seroma like Belle did! I dutifully kept Belle kenneled and still for 10 days and she still got one, so we'll see what happens with Jelly. She HATES being in her kennel so I've been carrying her around with one hand all night and doing tasks with the other. My arm is tired already, LOL! Will be a long 10 days.

What a little sweetie. And I also thought the same thing about her incision looking like a clover.

That's a sweet picture of her and Belle. If you're carrying her around, maybe you should invest in one of those slings mothers carry their babies in.

No need to make an investment. Get a twin bed sheet and tie it up in a circle so that it goes around your body and creates a nice snug area for "baby."

Oh, I just may get desperate enough to give that a try! She's feeling her normal self today and wanting to play and was NOT happy with me today. I keep reminding myself it's just 9 more days!

It's so hard to keep a feisty little girl down, eh? Poor Mom!

Just 9 more days!
