Uh Huh.OOhhh Yeahhhhhhh Baby!
No, I am not having an orgasim!
I am however celebrating the fact that I made it through all of February without smoking! I hafta say ...I AM PROUD OF ME!..which is something I've rarely allowed myself to feel in the past I am proud of hubby too! He's doing great! We are working on a plan to lose the weight we've gained, but we aren't going to beat ourselves up over it or pressure ourselves into losing it as fast as we gained it.

I am proud of you both also! It's not an easy thing to do, and the weight will go when you're ready. Just keep active in the meantime so it doesn't get crazy and you'll be fine. WooHoo~ Keep up the good work.

Thank you once again for all the encouragement and support! It makes it easier to know that there are ppl pulling for ya, and I greatly appreciate it.
If anyone is seriously considering quitting I seriously suggest looking into Champix, it really does help. My oldest son is trying to quit as well, I suggested Champix to him but he said it was too expensive ... it's 56 dollars for a two week supply, it's much cheaper than smoking! Benmax, a day without smoking is a day without smoking and I think you should be proud of that day without smoking. You will know when you are 100% ready to drop the habit, and when you decide it's the right time for you, I will be here to offer you support and encouragement

The Champix (Zyban) really does help. If it is the same it allows you to gradually cut back. I found by the time I reached my quit date I was truly ready to quit. Yep, there are withdrawals. Even after seven years I still want a smoke occasionally. It goes away. You just have to find something to do while the urge is there.
WTG for anyone who is seriously thinking about quitting. The seed has been planted in your brain. Now it just has to grow.

Keep up the great work!!! and don't get discouraged even if you do slip.. Just get right back on track and things will be great! One thing that many people don't realize: while the patch and other quit-smoking articles are available over the counter, if you get a prescription for it - your insurance will cover it. For example, the patch system is about $300 total (for 4 weeks, I think) but if you get 80% back..... You know, it helps! So if you are considering quitting smoking, check what would be covered by your insurance if you have one. Its does add up. |
