The cold wave . . . .

Fewer adventures lately as the weather turned cold and Abby became ill . . . . . but she's cured now.

Keeper at home in the morning . . . .

Abby mousing in minus 25 weather, listening for rodents under the snow . . . . what you don't see is the three coyotes just on the other side of the fence in the background, passing through. I had watched them playing, just like normal dogs, on some round bales a little earlier. Abby appears to have recovered from her recent bout with Geriatric Vestibular Syndrome

The luxuriant Maude . . . . . she was out of jail for five days then committed another Crime Against Furniture (spraying) and is now back in the Sin Bin as we ponder further options. . . . . the source is dominant tension between her and Polly. Both have been on some calming meds as well. The prolonged jail time was to "unlearn" her of the habit but obviously that failed. We don't want to give her away either so we'll keep trying to solve it.

Low winter sun and a passing Bighorn Sheep . . . .

Ice fog breaking, south of Okotoks, Alberta . . . .

A year old picture but what the heck, its moody anyway given the recent cold . . . . ice castle, skating and Victoria Glacier at Lake Louise, Alberta . . . . looking forward to this in a month or so. Hopefully I catch the sun on the ice castle next time.

Rick,beautiful!!
As for the spraying kitty,I too have a cat who sprays, giving him away is out of the question,I've had him for nearly 12yrs.
I've tried everything to get him to stop, but it's fruitless:sad:
Still,he is going nowhere,he is my responsability...I've loaded up on Natures Miracle and it really works,no pee smells left.

No . . . . its apparently not important enough or I'm too lazy.

That's another horse, laying down. Here's a better view, same place, from last year, not as sharp as I'd like it:

Still,he is going nowhere,he is my responsability...I've loaded up on Natures Miracle and it really works,no pee smells left.

It's been a year and a half roughly . . . . I'm not the one doing the cleaning up so I only have about 30% say in the outcome. The last straw for Maude was when she sprayed right behind Carol's head on the couch while we were watching CSI!!! Her spraying is also causing two other cats to start marking as well . . . . we're still looking for a solution but isolating Maude eliminates the problem, of that we're certain. We'll see. We certainly don't want to give her up.

When it comes time for me to purchase my digital camera system, can I PM you?

I bought the new Nikon D80 recently . . . . still waiting for delivery of a long, long lense for it before giving a final verdict.

Thanks again for the comments.

I always enjoy your stunning photos! Like glimpses of a whole different life! This cold wave has me realizing though that I would probably never survive in your part of the world.
