I'm looking for a lab pup X to adopt - Pls help!
I stumbled across this site when I goggled an aparently questionable rescue. If anyone knows the best way and safest places to adopt a lab pup X, any info would be appreciated.
I live in Halifax but can travel to Ontario if necessary. Any help, suggestions or websites would be great! Thanks so much Bead Girl |

Hey there and welcome! Check out www.petfinder.com. In the side bar select labrador retreiver and enter your area. You will find there are many lab crosses awaiting a new home

Petfinder is a great site to look for an adoptee. I think there's a sticky note on here somewhere about what to look for in a good rescue. I'll try to find it for you...
Meanwhile, good luck in your search, and welcome to the board! ...Ah, ha! Here it is! http://www.pets.ca/forum/showthread.php?t=7624 Good luck! |

Thank you for wanting to adopt a rescue dog. There are so many that need help.
If you find a dog at a particular rescue group and want to check on them, you can post here, asking if anyone knows about XYZ rescue. We will private message you back (especially if it is bad/liable news), or reply post publicly if it is a glowing reference. I will dig back through my emails too. I am with Golden Retriever Rescue and got an email about a golden/lab x with short hair who needed a new home. If I can find it and the dog has not been adopted, I will pm you. (man, my To Do list is getting long, good thing I use a toilet paper roll as my To Do list) Several of us here are rescuers, and even one foster home for Lab rescue in Ontario. Good luck finding the right furbaby for you
