Peacocks Geese and Ducks

It would seem that God in all his infinite wisdom would have had the foresight to make something as beautiful as Peacocks with a smaller waste production system. We have Peacocks who have taken up residence on our farm and they love to sit on the peak of our house and watch people drive by. Then they love to sit on the front deck and sun themselves. All the while they peck grain and due to some mystical process what small amount goes in - comes out 20 times larger. I thought Geese were messy and Ducks are known for their fertilizer production but Peacocks take the prize. Peacocks are prize poopers and they will eat anything. Gravel from the asphalt roofing, left over bird seed, bread, anything they spot they eat. Everyone says we are so lucky to have such beautiful birds on the property-I'm throwing birdseed over on my neighbor's pasture. Maybe they will go roost on his cows or something. ECH.....

LOL lmao @ u tossing seed elsewhere

Do you have a conservation area close by that you could go drop a bunch of food scattered around? hahah

My guess is that you feed your area birds....maybe hold off for a week or so they'll get the hint and fly off.

I would LOVE to see some pictures.

Peacocks

My wife feeds every bird in the northern hemisphere.
We have feeding stations all over the place. Some are back in the woods that we have to use a 4WD to get to. In the winter we feed the wild deer and when the snow is really deep I put on snow shoes and tow a sled back 1/2 mile into the woods for them And all types of feed for different types of birds.
No once they find us they stay. Dangit. I wouldn't mind so much if they cleaned up after themselves...LOL

Professional Pooper Scooper

Thanks guys for all the excellent ideas on how to humilate my self in my golden years.LOL
The locals have yet to fully accept me as anything more than an oddity that landed in their midst.
We have a local town paper with a circulation of about 600 (Everybody buys three copies) and I am sure my bird pooper scooping adventures would be worthy of a front page photo and write up.
I can see headlines now.

"local loco stalks pooping feathered fart machines in effort to start new manure business. Forecast is crappy, time investmenrt large -ROI small-economic future bleak-sanity questionable. Men in white coats and nets surround the property. (Not to catch birds)"

Somehow I think I can sink into infamy on my own with less fan fare.
But thanks anyway...LOL

Actually Woodbyter,my Italian vegetable-growing neighbor, asked to dig out the 1foot high birdseed leftovers under my feeder to use for fertilizer for his veggies and I happily approved, did not know what to do with the unsightly mess Sometimes it results in a ton of sun-flowers but mostly it does not make it to a flowery state.
You're still a hoot,always good for a morning laugh
I wonder about our little Lucy
