People are ALWAYS asking us for small dogs at our adoption events.

If you can get me pics and info, I'll list them right away on my site, and hand out the info tomorrow at our adoption event!!

I'll list Chico right now, if you can tell me his age, temperament, etc.

And I also need contact info. preferably a phone number.

I have a friend who is looking to adopt a small breed dog.

She lives in Kingston and has a 7 yr old girl and a 6 yr old male neutered JRT.

He's fine with dogs that aren't overly excited and would do best with a female.

If you know of any of there personalities that may match this pls let me know and I'm sure she would make the drive to Mtl to see a dog.

Pls let me know and I'll advise her, she doesn't have internet access.

The dog control in st. constant gets them regularly so I'll let you know as well if a small female comes in.

Thanks

I can call her with any relevant information. She used to live in Montreal so would be familiar with the city streets etc.

That's where all the people are asking for them

Smile Desperately want to adopt

Hello everyone,
New to this site, great opportunity to discuss and get feedback. Anyway I just want to post that our family is looking for a small dog to adopt. We live on a large 50 acre property in southern ontario with a large country home. I have 4 kids, 9 down to 31/2 and have 1 dog of 10yrs and 1 cat 10yrs. The cats gone most of the day doing her own thing and the dog goes to work with my husband. The kids are very respectful of our pets and have grown up with them. Any way I would love a little companion to love but I've found that alot of rescue sites won't allow their smaller dogs be placed with a family with smaller children. If you know of anyone or a pet, (cocker spaniel, poodle etc) that needs a home with lots of love and tonns of space, please let me know.
Sincerly, Leslie

Hi,

You should call your local SPCA, SPCA Monteregie 450-460-3075.
They are always getting small dogs in on regular basis.

Looking for small dog

We have been looking for a small dog, In Ontario I have found out that I shouldn't be buying one form people who post on kijiji or sites like this. We have been approved by some rescue sites that we have pre registered for so that if a special pet comes in they will call. I can't access the site yopu posted??? We are looking for a small, young scruffy, loving, wants to be loved pet. Must be good with children, love to run in country on 46 acres. Cannot be a chiuhua, beagle or hound mix but optional for any other kind of mix. Any suggestions or know of a young dog that is looking for a forever home???
Thanks

nobody on this site here freely posts an animal for adoption, only registered rescues and animal shelters are allowed.

good luck with your search, a trip to spca Montreregie (near Montreal) would be worth the visit. They have TONS of animals there.

The SPCA monteregie site works for me... But it's better to go in person if you are able. They have so many more dogs there than they post on the website.

You might also want to check out www.petfinder.com too.
