Thanks growler. I have already removed the food I think may be causing the problem. If the vomiting continues I will eliminate chicken from his diet as well. Corn and grains have already been removed. Well, they were not there. The bald spot she didn't pay much attention to. Not very concerned. I guess I will have to try to get to the bottom of this myself with everyone's help on here.
Thanks for those wonderful links! I will read them tomorrow before work.

Thanks rainbow. I have about 50 pages for her to read. I am going to try to drop them off tomorrow before I go to work. I am sure she will find ways to tell me they are all wrong.
On the plus side... I did find out this afternoon that she is not one of the regular vets. She is only there while one of the others is on mat leave. Supposedly the other vets are wonderful. I am not ready to give up yet. Maybe we will have a convert.

Oh do I ever feel for ya! I still haven't figured out what is bothering Fagan and his skin/belly issues, and we're going on 3 years.... and the first thing I tried was the vet food, not knowing any better.... lot of good that did us. I was also told recently that going to Guelph for the allergy testing would be a waste of time and money as they can only rule out a few things. Hopefully you're able to find out what bugs TT through elimination!

So is it the vet that you wanted to see that she is replacing? If so, and the other vets there are more reasonable can't you see one of them instead?

No rainbow. The one I wanted to see was on holidays this week. The one I saw is covering a mat leave for one of the other vets. Most of the vets in this clinic are female.
I would like to phone and find out if the one I wanted to see does a free consultation so I could go in and talk to her. If she has the same beliefs as the one I saw when it comes to food nutrition I might as well go back to my old vet. As least I don't get Hills and MediCal shoved at me as being the best.

awww 14+, as much as Im glad to hear she is not concerned bout the hair loss, I am annoyed by her attitude

Hopefully though you can convert her, or at the very least she's not representative of the actual vet on mat leave. Are there any hollistic vets in your area? I was very surprised to find out my own vet feeds raw to her dogs and cats...also turned out she is holistically trained.

I hope that it was just a matter of too much rich food

14+,that is the problem with a clinic and multiple vets, you never really get to know anyone, the same way you need a family-doctor,you need a family-vet.
My new vet,is the only vet in his office
Did you ask other pet-owners about good vets??
That's how I found mine and through my recommendation he got 3 more patients, all of whom were upset with my old vets.
Hope little TT is doing better

chico - They were recommended to me. And probably for the person who recommended them they are good. She feeds food that isn't so great. I have been working on her but it may take a while. If you ask for a certain vet then you can just see that vet too. That's why I am thinking to give the one I wanted a chance. She was very good when she put Li'l Momma down. Very gentle.

TT has had a couple of good nights. One night he didn't vomit. Last night it was only a very small amount and there was a fur in it so probably a hair ball.

She's back this week chico. Hopefully I don't have to go to the vets for a while. I still haven't dropped off those papers. I will very soon.

Add this one to your pile: http://www.catinfo.org/zorans_article.pdf Dr. Zoran's article on feline nutrition, published in the JAVMA, is the quintessential guide to what cat's should be eating. Which is NOT corn and wheat and soy.

She should also go pick up a copy of Not Fit for a Dog, a slamming indictment of the commercial pet food industry, and in particular the world of "prescription diets". Oh ya, and it was written by not one, but 3 vets.

Thank you so much SCM! I have printed the first one and will take it to her. I'll add the name of the book too. I think she may be brainwashed by that company we love so much . She was telling me how clean their production factory was when she took a tour of it. But all I can do is hope she at least reads this stuff I spent time printing out. But hey, it didn't come from a vet so I doubt it.
Thanks again everyone for all of your help!
