Hello from Toronto

My name is Robert. I've had various animals - currently none.
I've had a Briard for over 10 years - one of the funniest characters in dogs.
I've joined because I'm trying to post in general cats forum to get an advice on helping two cats.

Some animal background:

Animals I grew up around:
Boxer - Adam
Dachshund - Little Adam
Mut - Koukina
Rabbit - Tony
Hamsters - lost a count (found them on the street)
Desert Dogs - Cubina, Benny, can't remember the rest
Cat - Luisa (in the picture - found her under a window) - currently with my parents

The two beggars in the picture are my friend's dogs: Bob and Krispin.

Hi, Robert! Welcome to the board!

I'm just trying to decide what Bob (or is that Krispin?) might be ordering?

Luisa is a real beauty

Hi hazelrunpack,

Bob is the lab/retriever. They have a routine of getting left overs from the street food vendors. Bob pretty much eats anything - dead birds, mouse, food from a garbage container - he has a stomach made of steel.

Luisa is pretty, but is quite cold and scared inside - she must have been through a lot as a kitten. She barely allows anyone near her, nevermind petting her for more than 2 seconds and that's after having her for over 8 years. Hence, her nick name is Bruha (witch)...

Do they serve that there?!

Typical lab/retriever appetite. He sure is cute standing up there to make his order.

Poor girl. She does look shy in that picture. Love the nickname, though.

Was the first picture taken in Italy (noted the Algida sign). And are you sure that your Dachshund wasn't "Big" Adam and the Boxer "Little Adam"?

Luisa is definitely shy...but she also has quite a mean side. She has a very evil stare (though, not in that picture) conveying something like: "I wanna scratch you eyes out". She has a long record: she chased away my aunt's lab, she tried to attack my sister baby because she was clearly jealous, she killed and decapitated few birds, mice and lizards - always proudly displaying the bodies on the floor mat. That's only when they take her to the cottage, where she roams around. She is not a cuddle cat for sure, but they like her for what she is - bruha!!

The dogs photos are from Prague. Like I mentioned, they are my friend's, I was just taking the photos. Here is some more to show how persistent they were:

As I said, the two of them were quite persistent. I remember we were for a while but they never gave up, at least Bob didn't.
