Unhappy Sneezing and runny nose

We recently got a puppy from the animal shelter; we have 2 other dogs at home. The puppy had a runny nose and was sneezing, now my other 2 dogs are sneezing and have runny noses. Is there any over the counter med i can give them?

The pup should really see a vet. Tell the vet about your other dogs because they will most likely all need treatment and meds!

What is URI? Can this be transferred to cats and or humans. I ask because the same time Daisy was sick, I got sick, now the cat is starting to show sypmtoms as well.

It's an Upper Respitory Infection(virus). No it can't be transfered to humans.

When I adopted my cat Casper,he got it.It was a mild case.So no medication was needed. It lasted about a week. Some get it serious to the point where they are stuffed up so bad they won't eat cause they can't smell the food.

If I'm correct,it can be transfered to cats.

Arrow thanks!

Thank you for your reply. The puppy seems to have gotten over it, the other 2 still have it. I will watch them and see if they get over it, the yorky is a little older so i will watch her closely. Thanks!
