Thanks Marco for posting Sophie's picture. I cannot believe it had been a month already. I took out her leash and harness today and I could still smell her on it. Tyra has been a blessing but my heart still mourns my little girl. I miss those big eyes. They were incredible. I miss the snores and they way she had to find the "perfect" place to go for a pee. Most of all I miss the love she showed me..

I missed this thread so I didn't know. I'm so sorry. I know you miss her terribly. Be assured that, with time, the wonderfully good memories will become sweeter and sweeter and the sad ones will fade.

Well it has been almost 2 months since Sophie died. It has not gotten any easier. I still see her incredible eyes. I have nightmares and I still feel the jerk she made when the vet gave her the needle. I feel so much guilt but I know it was the right thing to do. Her poor little heart was failing and she was suffering. My family says to snap out of it. I just miss her so much. To them she was just an expensive dog. To me, Sophie was the child I never had. She was so trusting and loving.
Last year Sophie got itchy and I put this pink conditioner on her when she was dry. It dyed her coat pink. I planted a tree for Sophie and it turns pink on the ends. Like pink feathers. I put Sophie's ID tag around the tree. I just miss her so much.

Of course you miss her still,we all understand:sad:
There is no need for you to apologize to people who don't understand, you don't just"snap out"of losing someone you love.

A hug from across the ocean , its a year since my Freeway passed to the bridge, the day he passed I found this forum and posted to him on in. Take as long as you need to grieve, this isn't a day when i don't think of Freeway, I miss him very much.

Your baby had the most lovely eyes, you did the right thing, think of all the things you did together good and the times when she was bad - those are the ones that make me smile.

She is waiting for you at the bridge, until the day you can cross it together.
