Hair loss on elbows

My poor little Jasper is going bald!
Just kidding, it's nothing that dramatic

But in the past week or so, I've noticed that he's been losing hair on his elbows. Even though I heard it's more common with large breeds (which he's definitely not at only 45 pounds), I assume it's just from laying on hard floors and surfaces.
His brother Timber always seems to prefer the comfort of a bed, but Jasper has always liked the coolness of the floors.

My question is, is there anything I can do to help the hair grow back? At this point, it's a little bit red, but hasn't gotten to the point of a scab or callus. It doesn't seem to bother him at all, but I'd like to stop it before it gets any worse.

Any suggestions?

This is what I use on Dracko (GSD) when his elbows start to wear. http://www.dogleggs.com/files/adjustable.cfm After only a couple days they are improved.

I have read that some people have success with Neem Cream or pure Aloe Vera gel.

I've only ever heard of it with large breeds too. All of my dogs have preferred sleeping on cold bare floors and the only one who ever experienced any hair loss was Freddie who had a thyroid problem. He had no issues with it on his elbows though, just his belly.
