Please help!

My dog, Bella, is having some troubles. She's a 3-yr-old mutt (27 pounds) who has never had any health problems. Sunday night she came down stairs unable to put wieght on her leg. Took her to emergency room and they took xrays and said nothing is wrong...just a pain that will go away. She's on painkillers and sure enough, whn she woke up yesterday she was fine.

This morning she woke up unable to put any wiehgt on her other rear leg! Any ideas?? I'm pretty concerned and we have an apppointment at the vet later, but I don't want to wait that long.

Thanks for any help,
Robbie

I don't really have any advice for you, but wanted to tell you that I wish you the best of luck and will say a prayer for your baby. Have you considered seeing another vet?

I don't have any advise either but glad you're taking her back to the vet. Please post again to let us know the results.

Thanks for you well wishes. It seems as though she had an infected anal gland and reacted oddly to the discomfort -- first one became infected, and hence she would lift one leg, and then the other one became infected, causing her to then lift that leg. With both infections cleaned out she is cautiously starting to walk again -- she is able to run and play easier than she is able to walk -- distracts her from the dicomfort maybe.

Anyways. Thanks. If there are any further updates, I'll let you know.

I am glad to hear that the mystery has been solved and cleaned out. Poor baby, that must have been very uncomfortable and painful. Glad all is well
