Ill finally introduce myslef

Hi, I have been quite active on some forums since I joined about a week ago. I do reptile and cats rescue and adoption. I take in over 50-75 red eared slider turtles every year and about 2 dozen iguanas.

I also do small scale cat rescue and adoption. I call myself The Lost Kitties Adoptions, because I capture strays from my friend's outdoor shelter and i get permanent fosters from the SPCA. Basically cats that have lost their way.

I do a lot of volunteer work for the SPCA montreal, and am available to healp out any other shelter that need help.

Julie

Welcome to the Board! I haven't seen anyone else with iguanas on here, so it'll be nice to have someone to talk to about my scaley friends! I'll bet you get whacked quite often with the rescue iguanas! I know how defensive my female is, and she's never been neglected although she thinks she was abused and that's why she's defensive. The big one almost tore her tail off when she was young, and I was the one who had to put the medicine on it and clean it everyday, so I caused her pain. That was over ten years ago, but she still won't allow anyone to touch her.

It's nice to have you here Julie! Until the petstores stop peddling reptiles, I guess you'll always have a full house!

I used to have an iguana, but he / she died a long time ago. I would like to get a small snake or lizard, but my boyfriend is concerned that it may get out and end up being lunch to one of my little hunters.

Leeping lizards, welcome to the forum. I have a 2 year old bearded dragon, Iguana are just a little too big for me. People buy them small and think they will stay that way ha, my friend has one that runs around his house it must be at least 4 feet now. Where do you keep all these critters?
