Male yorkie breeding problems

I have been breeding many types of dogs for the last 18 years. I now have a question. I have a male yorkie that does not have a prepubis. He is two years old and he has not produced any puppies yet. Does anybody have a solution for this problem? I have thought about having my females artificially inseminated by him but do not know what kind of price category that would be in. He has many passed champions and is a beautiful dog and I would like to pass his genetics along to others.

I really hate to say this, and I hope that you take this in the spirit it is meant, but the members here do mostly rescue work and very few of us breed. Chances of getting an answer to your question are slim, but I am willing to bet that many (who have dedicated years to saving dogs from shelters) are going to ask you why you want to breed your dog.

If the dog has no prepubis.. it's probably genetic. Why would you even consider passing on inferior genetics. That shouldn't even be a question for someone with 18 years of breeding experience.

I'm with mafia....it is possible this is a genetic issue and not something you would want to pass on as an ethical breeder. Also many champions in his past is ok, but is he himself show quality, has he been shown and genetically tested otherwise? What does you vet say about it?

Why on earth would you want to put more dogs on the planet when there are thousands of homeless and abused pets looking for deliverance, which most won't get.
Even if there wasn't another Yorkie in the EweKnighted States of America, you should not breed a genetically impaired dog.
