new here .... our large petfamily

Hello. I am new to yjis site. My husband and I have a farm with many pets. 3 years ago we moved here finally realizing our dream of having a place in the country.
We have many pets. 9 goats, 2 minidonkeys, 5 horses,4 cats and 1 dog. Many are rescue or adopted.
Our pets are very loved and are like family members to us.
Our farm needs alot of work but we have felt very blessed to be here and to experience rural life.
We have had some challenges, some heartbreak and some losses but when we see all these loving faces everyday we know why we are here. For the animals, our unique loving, relationships with our furbabies.

I love the salt and pepper one (is it Bob) looks just like the one at our local zoo who I could sit and watch all day!! He was such a cute mean little thing.
He would wait for people to get corn out of the bubblegum/turned corn machine and just as it was coming out he would charge and hit them right in the bum, making them spill their corn all over.....just for him LOL

I went to a preschool that was on site with the junior college farm, so we had a pet goat at the school. Oh, he was fun! He butted me a lot for getting in his face, and I loved every minute of it.

Welcome! I'm new, too, and finding so much feedback and answers to questions that already I feel like part of the community (even tho I'm not Canadian ). Your babies are adorable.

Your goats are so cute!
I can't wait to see the pics of your other furries, but I might be a little frightened of your donkey - I went to a petting zoo once and met a donkey named "Friendly". Next to his name was a sign that said, "My name is Friendly, come pet me!" . Yeah, I did, and I ended up with a chunk missing out of my arm (okay, slight exaggeration, but he did bite me!).
I still think they are cute, but I'm just a little wary..

Thank you all so much for the comments and your memories concerning goats and donkeys.sylvia is the grey one with black booties. She is a registered pygmy and was a bit pricey. She is one of a few animals on the farm that was not rescued or adopted. She is very smart and has been in several shows. We call her our little showgoat.
The porch the goats are on...well that is a story I will save for it's own thread...the battle for the porch ...goats vrs, my husband...goats win....
The donkeys are minis , not much bigger than the goats and they are CUTE!!!!!!..do bite though, just like Phoozies said....but teeney bites.

my neighbor has 2 goats, and there's a goat farm up the road from us, and every single time I drive by and see a new baby one....it just about takes all I have to not take it home with me. they are so cute (and crazy!)!

Your goats are great! can't wait to see more of your photos!

Rainbow, Jessi, Phoozies thank you so much. All the animals here are so spoiled. And a bit fat. Here are some of the horses.Auggie is the leopard Appaloosa, The white butt belongs to our youngest, Rocky, who will be 2 in May. He is an Appy/draft cross. A big baby with huge feet.
