New things for my cat to eat

My cat had 4 teeth pulled last week and also was diagnosed the previous 2 weeks with a low thyroid. He is not eating very much. What can I get that he may like? I have tried canned foods of all sorts, cat sip, shredded chicken, tuna, what else can I try for him to get him to gain some of his weight back?

Have you asked your vet if they have any ideas or if they sell cat food for your cat health issues?

To get your cat interested in eating you can try adding:
- a pinch of parmesan cheese to the top of the canned food
- a tiny pinch of cat nip
- a dab of melted butter
- a bit of freeze dried chicken treats such as PureBites

Try slightly warming the food just enough to release the aroma - do not microwave, also make sure the dish & the food are not hot

Unusual for a cat to have low thyroid levels that is more commonly seen in dogs where cats are usual end up high. I'd have that re-tested in about 3 months.

We are going to have it retested again in the future. I never thought to add parm. cheese to his food. I will have to try this to see if it interests him or not. Thanks for the suggestions.
