My Labrador is about to give birth.

Anyone know what an average number of puppies i should expect?

I'm not sure what the average is but my lab had 4 puppies 2 years ago...all beauties.

I know this was a long time ago but my lab mix had 11! that was a fun 6 weeks!!!

Yes definately get her spayed after this.

My sisters dog had puppies about 25 years ago, I still remember it really well. They were Golden Retreiver something mixed and she had ten puppies. I was the only one home at the time Thank God they were all healthy - it could have gone a lot differently. She got spayed right after that -thank Goodness.

Why don't you go find out? The vet can tell you, as I assume you have been in close contact with him, what with health tests and other stuff you need to do before breeding.

And please, get her spayed afterwards.
