What is the correct Ivermectin Dosage for Demodex?
My puppy has demodex. Took him to the vet. He is 32lbs Vet said 0.3cc daily, but this seems like a very low dose. Please help.

I fostered a lab pup with severe demodex about 2 years ago. For the life of me I do not recall the dosage as it depends on the weight.
Regardless, follow the vet recommendation and if not certain, give him/her a call and ask if you understood the dosage correctly. This way you are not sounding like you are questioning, but confirming. You will notice a difference gradually. Take a picture of now, review the picture in one weeks time and you will see a difference. Keep pictures going every once a week to monitor progress. |

No the vet keeps saying 0.3cc but that dosage cannot be correct. My dog who is 10 lbs took 0.3 cc of the same medication so how could a 32lb dog take the same dose? Doesnt make any sense at all.

only information i could find was 1/10 cc per 10 lbs so 10 lbs would be.1cc..so at 32 lbs .3cc would be correct. You could always call another vet clinic and just ask to make sure.
