it's so funny, one of our pet stores in my city started showing cats for adoption for a local rescue. I really wasn't ready for a new one, plus I didn't know how the boys or dog would take a kitten. But I would visit, and her name was "trouble" at the store. She wouldnt let anyone pick her up, she was all claws...but every time I visited she would curl up on my shoulder and purr. I told them, yes I was interested, but I wasn't heart ready for another. I didn't want to stall an adoption possibilities for her. Many were interested, but her manner did not go well with those looking, so I showed up on a monday and said "is she still here?" They were so hoping I would come back, she didn't fit with anyone, I took her home, first thing she did was kiss the big boy and then curled up on my pillow and slept for two days.

Zoe!!! Wow! I missed that face. The bed full of kitties - who would have it any other way? I love that last one too. Looks like Amos wanted to give Livvy a smooch and she's having none of it! So cute!!

She knew her mommy. Just had to wait till Mommy knew her. What a wonderful, heartwarming story.

I bet you do!! It's funny here - only Dayle comes upstairs for bed. The rest of the gang stays downstairs. She only stays on the bed for about half an hour then she jumps off and curls up on her pillow beside the bed. I guess I must have pushed her off and now she takes no chances.

LOL @ +14......I have Dexter who thinks my face is a pillow for his bum, Olivia sleeps on my stomach and Amos sleeps on my legs then Zoe spoons beside me. Of course she need 3/4 of the bed to stretch and she needs the blankets dug into a ball to hide her ducky, so I get a few inches, maybe a corner of a pillow, no room to breathe cuz Dex has his hiney pressed on my cheek and nose. Amos snores, Zoe snores......but I am so darn comfy

The pic of all three of them together is sweet. Dex does look a little oddly shaped, doesn't he? But that's ok. He's still lovable. His back leg almost looks like my orange fella (new since you were last on) who has no back bottom half of his leg. He still gets around well. Ooops, I think that's Amos in the middle. Not Dex. Silly me!

Yeah, I got a pumpkin. He came with a black and white sister too. But you probably won't see many pics of them. They are pretty feral with me yet. I can't do much with them. Waiting till spring when it's warmer and I can spend some time with them in their enclosure. That way they'll get used to me. Venus is getting better but Astro is still being a bit of a bum. I'll see if I can find their thread from the day I got them and post it for you. Save you looking.

Amos is my nekkid cat......he is bald on his legs, his tummy, starting on his back. I am going to end up with one of those hairless kitties by the time he is done with himself. The amitriptylne is helping, he stopped attacking himself. But he still is nekkid..

That's ok. Amos is still very handsome.

I found that thread from the day I got the brother/sister. Took a while. I got caught up looking at other threads. They came from a town about 20 k or so away from me. I got another tabby gal from Quebec the same day. It was quite the day.

I always...always wanted a calico, but had a thing about female kitties...so what do I end up with?? A female tuxedo. Still a bit feral after over year...but she jumps up next to me now. Female attitude though! Gotta love it!

What a great story on Livvy . My fosters Tips and Boots were adopted like that. The couple came in to buy cat food for their four kitties and DH was in one aisle, DW was in the other aisle and when they met they each had a kitty on their shoulder purring away . They looked at each other and said what is 2 more kitties . This was the first time these kitties had ever ridden on customer shoulders. Sometimes our pets pick us, not the other way around .

I wonder why he doesn't like his tail touching the ground. Strange little duck. I love how all of your kitties came to you with a story attached. But then they always do, don't they? My last ones sure have.
Does Livvy still use Amos for a bed or has she gotten too big for that? I'm sure he doesn't mind.

Venus is lovely, and Astro ....... I just love pumpkins. Olivia and her littermates were found in an old garage. She is not really one to be pet, but when you go to bed she is the first one getting snuggled in a comfy hole. And she will hop up on you when you are watching tv, or on the computer and climb to your shoulder and snuggle, but don't pet her or she is gone. She just wants to be close. The first day she was home, Dexter spent 24 hours cooing and burrrring her, while she slept and occasionally hissed. She loved Amos on sight, he was her comfortor. She would hide under him and look out from between his front legs. Meanwhile he had the most pissy look on his face, like wth is this, really?? And Zoe took to her like she was one of her own, twice a day spit baths, she would flip her over and check her bum, if she didn't move for a long time Zoe would muzzle flip her and inspect.What a crew I have
