Teeth ?
I have had a dog since he was 6 weeks old and he is 2 now, his teeth are pearly white. I got another dog 1 month ago, she is 18 months old. Her teeth has brown on them. What causes her teeth to become that way? She also has bad breath and has be known to eat her own feces. What causes bad breath? Tia.

That brown deposit near the gums is tartar and is most likely the cause of the bad breath. There also may be tooth decay. 18 mo old is young for this but time for a dental visit at the vets for cleaning. This may have been caused by a poor diet. Don't neglect this as the bacteria can cause problems in your dog's internal organs if not taken care of.

Raw beef bones from the butcher and brush the teeth with a non fluoride toothpaste.

Was the dog sick when it was younger? My puppy had a BAD case of distemper, but we were lucky and she made it. Her teeth are now very brown. The Vet said that it was the body's way of shutting down when very ill and there is no way to fix. Not trying to be a bummer - just giving another thought
