love this place

Lighthouses are awesome :P :

This is around a place called "Signal hill" Basically its a lookout , and from here you can see the ENTIRE bay. There are hundreds of canons spread around, including down the steep hillside. If anybody came in to attack, we saw them first and attacked first. Pretty awesome setup@ dont mess with newfies!

Okay, these pictures are taken a 4 hour drive away from the last ones.
This is essentially my front yard

Lowtide.

Tide starting to rise.

Right end of the bay.

Left end of the bay.

Good ol' newfie row boat, just sittin' there on the beach lol..

Of course, keely and newfiland.

And my fave pic, Right out in front.. (Its a very small Harbour, Population, 80 or less.. Very quiet, and I love it)

Someday we hope to drive there as well, a friend of ours who moved back there has offered us his house to stay in when we do get there. Right now I will settle for living in the new capital of Newfoundland....Fort McMurray .

I was hoping to get to Nfld this summer, but we didn't have time. One year we will make it out there to visit the beauty it has to offer.

Those pictures are gorgeous....I've already told dh that when we're retired, that's one of the first places we're visiting! And PEI. And Nova Scotia. And. And. And.

I've been to Newfoundland numerous times, absolutely love it there. Trying to plan a diving trip there for next summer. Easily one of my favourite places to visit.
