My Baby boy Duke

Duke left us this afternoon. The cancer beat him. He started going downhill last night and this afternoon we decided it was time. He was not responding to me at all and was too weak to walk this morning. I can't believe this is happening. We just lost Jasper, my husband is in the hospital with pneumonia and now Duke. I always called him my baby boy and he will continue to be.

Thanks for the kind words. The house was just too quiet this morning. We have 2 cats but it's not the same. My husband may be able to come home tomorrow. He is so heartbroken that he didn't get to say good bye but he did get to see Duke on one of his good days when he was happy before going into the hospital. I saw him on his worst day and it was terrible.

Oh, Cathy, what a rough time! Your babies were so well-loved and they knew it! Now they're together again and you can bet they'll be waiting for you and your husband at the bridge.

Duke and Jasper

I hope your husband is able to come home tomorrow. You're both in my thoughts and prayers.
