Oh, and as far as I know, Champion Feed Service is not the same as Champion Pet food.

I know of three Champion feed services...They're all in my nick of the woods..
Grande Prairie, Westlock and Barrhead...I've been to 2 of them for horse feed supplies in the past (you guess which two). As for any affiliation with Acana, I'm not sure but can find out in a jiffy... |

Not sure why all the interest in the locations of Champion Feed Services but a quick google will get you to their website which has a lot of information:
http://www.championfeeds.com/home/default.aspx Here is a link to their products page: http://www.championfeeds.com/championfeed/products.aspx If you click on "Petfood and Birdseed" on the products page you will find further information: http://www.championfeeds.com/champio...cts.aspx?id=24 From what I see, I would gather that Champion Pet Foods, the makers of Acana and Orijen, is likely one of their subsidiary companies: Products Petfood & Birdseed Champion takes pride in producing and carrying the highest quality food products for our animal friends. •Canutra (dog & cat food) •Farm & Ranch (dog & cat food) •ACANA (cat & dog food) •ORIJEN (cat & dog food) •Sunflower seeds & other types of bird seed •Sun Country Bird Seeds

Some years ago, when I had my own grooming shop, I contracted with Champion feed to sell their dog and cat food.
All I did was order it, and it came in to me, and I sold it from my shop at retail. Sort of a distributor ship. This was a way at that time to get the product to folks and to have available product for them. I sold Champion Feeds for the entire time I had my shop here. take care binky |

You are correct---Champion Feeds is not Champion Petfood--two different entities. Champion Petfood is produced in Morinville in their own plant. Acana and Orijen Dog and Cat food. Only.
Champion Feeds lists only the three "locations" but who knows where the feeds actually originate. They carry Orijen and Acana, apparently, but they certainly do not manufacture it. http://www.championfeeds.com/champio..._location.aspx
