Unhappy vomiting dog, need help

My dog ingested used cooking grease. Do i need to take her to the vet, or will she be ok?

Good advice. One of the main concerns with baking grease is inflammation of the pancreas which is called pancreatitis. Blood work is recommended. Supportive care should be used to manage clinical signs. Best of luck.

I think she is better now. I just watched her eat some of her dog food. I'm going to keep an eye on her for tonight, if she isn't ok by the morning i will take her to the vet. Thanks for the advice.

Babydaddy, Dr. Lee doesn't respond to every post, in fact, he rarely responds...And he recommended you take your dog to the vet. I really hope, for your dog's sake, that she'll be ok...

As well, my concern is that tomorrow is Sunday, and most vets are closed. So guessing, you won't take her in till at least Monday..? I just don't get it.

Baby is up running around. She isn't vomiting anymore. She is just like her old self. I'm very happy that she is doing great. !

Y'know, just because the dog is up running around being her normal self does not mean her pancreas hasn't been damaged as our good Dr Lee mentioned. Do you not think it would be a good idea to have her checked by your vet as soon as possible?

If you don't want to heed advise, don't ask for it.
Especially when a veterinarian took their time to give you specific, clinical information to your specific case.

Even though your dog is feeling better, I would still take her in to see your vet for a blood test to determine the effects the cooking grease had on her pancreas.

I just don't get why people do things like that. You come in, ask for help, get A VET to answer you, and blow it off because she seems to be fine.

Good luck to your dog. She will need all the luck and the that she can get, with such owner.

I just really feel bad for the dog.

Oye.. You say she is doing great, and you don't even know.. All you can see is the outside.. Unless you have some sort of magic vision that can see inside and test blood, you should be at the vet. Wouldn't you be worried enough to take her JUST IN CASE? Sure she might be fine, but she may not be! Her life might just have been shortened by your decision..
