Have you talked to your vet about it?

Even the best vet in the world couldn't begin to guess what it is, since you give no details at all.

Where is the crust? How long has he had it? Does the crust ever come off? How old is your dog? What colour is his nose?

If your dog is an adult, has a pale nose and the crust is on top and scabs over but never heals, it could be cancer.
