Sick Rottie Puppy
I recently received a 12 week old Rottweiler/Lab pup...more Rottie than anything...He has received his first vaccines and was dewormed last week...I have had him for about 2 weeks now and he was doing great. Today he is drinking more than normal and hardly eating at all. I have also noticed that after he drinks his belly seems to be quite large and very slowly goes down following urination. This has never happened since I got him so I am becoming quite nervous. He still appears to be happy although he is sleeping more then he usually does. I have 2 other mixed breed dogs who are doing fine. Could this be bloat? Is there anything that I can do to help him out? I am open to any suggestions...THANKS!!!

Hi,
Yes it could be bloat...which is very very serious. Here is some additional info on bloat....if you feel it pertains to your pet. Rush it to a veterinarian NOW. http://he.net/~virginia/00000037.html good luck herman |
