Just found this website today

Hi I just joined and thought would introduce myself. My husband and I are driving across the US driving a semi-truck and trying to raise our two dogs, Jerry and Story, while dodging ticks and burrs and cactus and -30 degree weather. This seems like fun.

Well, welcome! Sounds like you'll have a lot of stories to tell! And when you've posted enough, we'd love to see some pics of Jerry and Story!

pets.ca seems like fun? Or dodging ticks, burrs, cactus and -30 degree weather? Either way, it'll be an adventure!

Welcome to the board Jerry and Story! Do you have a digital camera? Cuz after a minimum number of posts, you can post pictures of your dogs and we'd love to see them! In fact, we'll probably actually bug you quite a bit till we get to see your well-traveled canines! We're very demanding sometimes.

welcome

Welcome aboard! I have stopped at truck stops where drivers had their dogs with them for companionship. They must make trips much more enjoyable.

The dogs do make it more enjoyable for me, not sure if the dogs find it more enjoyable however, especially when we can't find a suitable place to take them for a walk. Sometimes we have to just do a quick "business walk" and make up for it later!

I do wonder if the truck is the best environment for the dogs though, but right now, it is our only option, so we make the best of it. At least they aren't waiting at home for 8 hours for us to come home from work, I guess.

We do have lots of pictures of places we have been able to stop at, I will have to post some as soon as I am able to.

Thanks for the welcome, I look forward to talking to more of you.

I am sure the pups are happy as long as they are with you, wherever that is.
I have a hard time picturing a little fire-ball JRT beeing still for that long though
