Teddy has diarrohea

Hello All
My name is niamh and i'm new to the forum. I have just started my dogs on raw food. I searched many sites but must say i found this site the most informative. I live in ireland and sadly raw feeding isn't very popular here. I have two rescue dogs one meg is doing fine on the raw diet she adores it. Teddy isn't doing that well. He is just five and was recently diagnosed with arthritis in his back. I took him to a great hoemopathic vet who gave him a few different treatments he also started him on forever freedom glucosamine with aloe vera. He told me to switch to raw feeding for my dogs. For the first week i gave teddy chicken fillets and then introduced chicken wings. He tends to have a finicky tummy and gets diarrohea quiet a lot. However his poos on the raw chicken was fine. I decided to give him lamb two days ago and he has just the most awful diarrohea since. It is just like yellow water. He even had an accident in the house last night. Is this normal when new foods are introduced. Should i go back to the chicken or should i fast him till the diarrohea is gone. I really want teddy to stick to the raw food diet. Any advice would be really appreciated as i know a lot of people with dogs but none are feeding their dogs raw so its really difficult. I'm glad i found this forum
Niamh

well, this happened to my dog....switching to raw (mix of meats and lamb as well), the diarrehea was soooo bad, water as well, accident as well.

you know, the lamb is very fat, so you should probably go back to chicken....

fast him before his diarrhea is gone

i am going to this as well....

hopefully that helps. i am new to raw, but this looks pretty logical....

Aloe vera gel capsuls/liquid?
Aloe can cause diarrhea, I'd stop it for now and see how things improve.

I atleast partly cook my meats before giving to my dog.

You may want to try boiling some chicken and rice for a few days.

if he is getting runny poos from lamb, stop feeding lamb for now. stick to less fatty meats. try introducing rabbit next. are you feeding the meats with bone? there should be no need to cook the chicken nor feed rice, neither will help with runny poops.
