Puppies @ 6 Weeks

The little buggers are 6 weeks old today and getting floofier and more playful than ever .

I took a few pics earlier but our morning routine can be a little hectic so I didn't get many pics of them individually. I'll try to get on that by this evening.

Here they are in Cuddles' side of the pen while I was cleaning up their side. It was right after their breakfast and after a particularly wild wrestling match. Hercules and Lil' Laurie still weren't very tired so they decided a game of tug with the pee pad would be fun.

This is what our sponge bath/grooming time looks like . Checkers snoozing right through it. They all turn to mush as soon as anyone picks them up .

I'm not sure how you even leave the house. I would be calling in sick and staying home 24/7

Mom's time to eat in peace once the puppies are napping back on their side. When they are up and playing hard, Cuddles is outside of the pen and I move that little bench so they have lots more room. Because it's hollow, it also serves as a fun hide-and-seek spot for the pups and a good barrier when I need to clean up one side and for when Cuddles wants alone time. It's in place at night so puppies only get up to eliminate but will go right back to sleep.

Cpietra, I don't leave the house . I think I must have gone out maybe 4 times for quick errands since they've been here . The only time I leave the room is to take Cuddles outside and to take care of our guys or when the puppies are sleeping.

Yes but they're all pretty similar to each other.

I couldn't for the first three weeks or so without looking at photos I had taken of the markings on their backs and pasted to their pages in my notebook (where I record weight gain, deworming dates, first time walking, and eyes opening, etc).

You'd be lucky to make it to the driveway without Nukka letting us know .

Chico, the rescue screens the applications as they come in then forward them to me. I look over them, do phone interviews, verify references, and if I'm 90%+ confident at that point, I arrange a visit to meet the families. It's usually only after meeting them that I'm sure if it's a good match. I only wish I could follow them home and live with them for a few weeks before finalizing adoptions .

Ok, a few more but it's so hard taking pics of them. They're always on the go or sleeping . And my camera sucks .

And a last pic of Hercules and Marbles nursing. Cuddles is weaning them now and I see her nursing maybe 1-2 times a day but, if the little savages all come at her at once, she scurries away . They're teeth are in now so it's not likely very comfortable for her.

Oh, and I forgot to mention, Hercules, Suziecakes, Marbles, and Lil' Laurie are all pending adoption. And Chico, although I don't want to think about them leaving yet , it should be by the time they're 10 weeks old, depending on the individual pup.

Ok, please bring me two. One can be Puddles.
How cute are they?!! I do not envy you the potty training but the future moms and dads will appreciate it.

This may be a silly question....but will the pups grow into their eyes!!!!
thier eyes look way too big for their heads...which of course makes them even more adorable....is it just me who thinks the eyes are big???

OMG I think I have died and gone to heaven looking at all that sweetness . I would have to put my pet beside their pen because I wouldn't be able to leave them.

lol they will grow into their eyes. But they do have buggy eyes when full grown. Part of their power. When they want a cookie they give you the big eyes.. Hard to resist..
