Lightbulb An epiphany

Bertrand Russell wrote "It is the preoccupation with possessions, more than anything else, that prevents us from living freely and nobly".

Having damaged or destroyed:

-two wine glasses
-a hand-crafted tea light candle holder (just now)
-photo frame
-glass top of a plant stand
-shower curtain
-ceramic pet bowl
-fridge magnet (bought from South Korea)
-lighted Christmas decoration

I think this is the lesson my kitten is trying to teach me every time one of these 'accidents' happens. I have a very wise and learned cat.

...

Either that, or he's just plain bonkers.

sadly I don't need a kitty for my lesson, I am so clumsy I constantly break things myself - I am surprised I have not broken a bone yet - Most of the time is Bestia and Guero looking at me wondering WTH is wrong with this person?

Love it!! Having a kitten..oops wait she's 3! She's kinda like that, but then we don't have any breakables within easy access anymore!!I have breakables but they're still packed away. Someday when I get rich or find one second hand, I'll get a cabinet with glass doors to put treasures in. I have a hard enough time to get her to leave the pictures on the walls alone! My sister finally found her wedding slides and did up a really nice picture all framed and glassed and Noella is convinced that there's something exciting behind it!!

I thought my home was already reasonably cat proof - I soon realized "cat proof" and "kitten proof" aren't quite the same thing.

nope!! I've decided that puppies are easier!! Now she's trying to reach the clock on the wall!! AARRRRGGGHHH!! I think kitten proofing is an art and a science!! Most toddlers don't climb the drapes and sit on the curtain rod!!

Well I've had kitties and puppies and neither are easy! This weekend we must anchor the curio cabinet to the wall so it doesn't tip over when the puppies decide they have to try to play with the puppy in the mirror at the back of the cabinet Nikki especially thinks he's pretty cute and loves the puppy in the cabinet.
