Logan is going for Surgery

So we took Logan to the vet today to get xrays. We got them done just over a year ago when we had a crap vet and we discovered he had hip dysplasia He had no arthritic build up ( he was 11 months) well we went today for xrays again (at the new and better vet)and Logan has developed severe arthritic build up in just a year.
the vet suggested we go with surgery. We will be removing the femoral head and building a "fake joint" with the muscles. we will be doing the right hip in May or June and then the other hip in a year.... I feel so bad for my baby I had no idea he was in so much pain!

Aww michelle I am so sorry, poor Logan
You must be stressed about having to leave him at the hospital for a couple of days after his surgery:sad:
When will he be going in for the procedure?

Michelle, I am so sorry to hear about Logan. Do you have him on glucosamine/chondroitin already? You can also get it with MSM added which is an anti-infammatory.

Also, Mary Straus's website has lots of great information ....
