Should I do the switch??

Hello Everyone! I haven't been around in awhile! We just got a puppy on the weekend, and i was wondering what to do with the food situation. We have a almost 2yr old Chocolate lab that is on Acana. The puppy was being fed Puppy Chow (awful). So i bought a small bag of puppy chow and have been giving it to her with a little bit of the Acana from my dog. Now my dog is very picky and has been since she was a puppy. She was on Performatrin for awhile then we switched her to Orijen which she wasn't overly a fan of, then she's been on Acana for the last year or so. One day she will eat 4 cups the next she won't eat at all. I dont' know if it's the food or just the way she is? If i really want her to eat it I can mix in some blue buffalo can food and she usually will eat it. So my first question is should I switch my dog to a new food? And if so should I just keep the puppy on puppy chow until i find out which food the older one will be on? If i shouldn't switch the older dog's food then how long till the puppy can just have Acana? How long do i mix her food for? Thanks everyone!!

Do the switch from puppy chow too almost anything else it is basically a bag of corn. You can always switch the pup later on if you want them to be on the same food. Just use the best food you can afford remember this is a very important stage of the pups life and you want to feed the best you can

see i totatlly agree i can't stand feeding her puppy chow! I hated buying that small bag, but i was told that switching her cold turkey isn't good for her? I know Acana makes a puppy food so i would put her on that. Is it safe to do that or does it need to be mixed with the crap food lol?

yes you need to do it slowly or you will pay the price of very runny poop.
