My new Ragdoll kitty

He is settling in nicely, and slowly, a very sweet boy he is. I beleive he is a seal mitted, not exactly sure of the colour patterns..[IMG].

awww he's gorgeous!! I think he'd be considered a bicolor/mitted. Love the paint splotch on his nose!

He's a lot like my Koko -a bicolor with mitts. If I can get my pics smaller I'll post some

Where did you get your kitty? There was a cat that looked identical to yours at the Surrey SPCA on Monday. I believe he was transferred since then.

He is a beauty!

Thanks so much for the compliments on my new kitty! I am happy and excited to welcome him to our home.
Fred, yes this is the cat (formerly named Felix) that came in to the Surrey SPCA on Monday. He and his brother Oscar were both transferrred to the Vancouver Branch the next day, and that is where I adopted him on Tuesday. I was very sorry that I couldnt have taken both, and if it was up to just me, I would have. I'll be renaming him once I get to know him a bit better, see what "suits" him.

I've noticed that he becomes very restless every evening - goes from door to door, window to window and back trying to find a way "out". ( he just pulled down the curtains in the spare bedroom a short time ago. He meows and meows, seems very frustrated, poor guy.
It leads me to beleive that he's been going outside. This is a suprise as I thought Ragdolls were to be strictly indoor cats.
I hope this wont be a problem for him to adjust to the new routine here. We have lots of time to devote to his adjustment, and I'm very hopeful it will be a success.

Chico, yes I have two other cats. The female is the dominant one, while the male is very docile. But he's still a male, and that was my biggest concern.(They're all neutered/spayed - that helps a lot)
There is some minor hissing from time to time if one gets too 'close' - most of it from the new boy, still adjusting to all the huge changes in his life. But one always retreats, so no standoffs or battles .
They are even able to hang out in the same area now -at an appropriate distance. I thought this adjustment might take weeks, even months, but its looking very promising after less than a week. and I couldt be more pleased about this!
Thank you for your kind compliments on my furbabies! They are my "kids" and I am so happy to welcome this new baby to our pet family.
I have to decide on a name for him soon... dont think I spent this much time on my "real" kids names,lol..
