Question heartworm prevention, missed dose

Hello all, my first post

Due to family illness/death, I forgot to give my dogs their heartworm preventative at the appropriate time.

Can I give it now, approximately 2 1/2 weeks late, or must I retest them all first
(yes they were tested this past Spring)

Of course, 'my' vet is off today, but if I can get a definitive answer that it's OK
I'll give it today instead of waiting 'till Monday

thanks for any help

Just restart the medication. If it is Heartgard, then unless you miss 2 months, you can just restart the medication without loss of protection.
