I probably would describe this dog as a Rottweiler cross rather than a GSD sp you put out the most accurate information possible.

Silvio please remember that you are describing your dog to people who do not know him but can recognize most breeds. If you tell me your dog is a GSD or a GSD mix, I'm going to look for a dog that looks like this:
Name: GERMAN_SHEPHERD_DOG.jpg
Views: 361
Size: 47.2 KB

But, I think most people would agree that your dog looks more like this:
Name: Rottweiler.jpg
Views: 260
Size: 84.2 KB

Good luck !

Just trying to help Silvio. Sometimes it's helpful to step out of what you think your dog looks like and let others tell you what they see.

I've been through what you're going through ~my Ceili was stolen on a Friday (city services close here on the weekends as well) so I do know your pain, desperation and frustration.

Ceili is part Belgian Shepherd. Her Vet described her as a Shepherd mix so that's the information I provided to Police, Animals Services, the Humane Society and listed on the posters I put around the neighbourhood and provided to Vet Clinics, Grooming Services etc. Now, I did include a picture on my MIssing poster but, I imagine that dogs tend to blur together when you work with them all day and lost dog information is computerized here with no pictures for staff. As a result of my Shepherd X listing, I got to see alot of found Shepherds, none of which obviously, were Ceili. A staffer at the Humane Society suggested that I instead list her accordinbg to what she MOST looks like to other people: a Golden Retirever cross with Shepherd markings. That did the trick, I got a call that evening.

While I can see the Shepherd in your dog, he does not have the same body type or regular markings of a GSD. Just my

I agree with mummummum. Use a different photo.
I would not have thought the dog in the first picture was the same dog whose picture was posted further down in this thread.

Good luck I'll be back to work tomorrow (I work in Brossard) and will ask if there's any other place people could have taken the dog. But I'm pretty sure SCDD have the "monopole" of the area.

Your "light" is still on. So either get in your car or get into bed and go to sleep.

You would probably do him more good if you are well rested and thinking clearly than emotionally upset and exhausted.

Your decision.
