"Copper" Maine coon mix...

This gorgeous big guy has been passed around way too much, due to the fact that he doesn't along with other male cats. The people who have him now are threatening to kill him, so we begged them to let us try and get him the home he deserves!

Copper is a neutered adult male who is sweet and affectionate with people. He desperately needs to be adopted!!

If you can give Copper a permanent loving home, please call Debbie at (450) 424-0455

Hi! I just emailed the owners to ask for the answers to the questions you're asking.

Even cats who may love their "own"dogs or other cats need careful introductions when placed in a new home with a strange dog. Unless a cat will attack a dog on sight, it's usually possible to have a peaceful co-existance if you do it right!

I've introduced all manner of cats - from tiny kittens to adult ferals - to my pit bull and have had no unpleasant incidents so far.

Here's another pic of Copper showing his beautiful stunning face.

I've introduced cats to cats but never a cat to a dog, well except for recently when we brought our puppy home. I have a 2 yr old spayed female.

Let me know once they email you back. Copper is just sooo beautiful!! I really don't understand how people can give their pets away - if my kids have behavioural problems or cause me trouble I'm certainly not going to give them away or kill them!

Atleast I hope not!

Well, apparently Copper is frightened of children, and we don't know how he is with dogs. If we can find out, I'll let you know, because of course you wouldn't want to travel some distance only to find out he is not.

This cat is not in our possession, unfortunately - if he were, we would know all about him.

And of course, I agree with you - we don't dump our pets cause they are not perfect!

Keep me posted but if children are not his thing then we are definitely not the family for him...unfortunately....another sigh.
