Jaida starts hydrotherapy...

, not really, we got her a baby pool! She's such a water-dog, she LOVES it. We're going to get her a lifejacket and start taking her swimming in the river soon...I think it'll be great, no-impact exercise for her. But this is a good first step! She's crazy for the hose, tries to catch the water...also likes to make waves in the pool, and try to catch those! Such a clown. Do you think we could get Gracie in the pool too? Not on your life. Princess doesn't like getting her paddy-paws all wet...

How cute. My GSD, Dracko, adores the water, too. I have a pool for him in the backyard and he is in it all the time. If I throw a ball he has to make a detour into the pool before bringing it back to me.

In town we have a pool for dogs that is used for hydrotherapy called Water Paws. Because Dracko has Rheumatoid Arthritis (doesn't act up much) I've taken him. One day there was a three-legged dog there for exercise as he'd just had an amputation adn they were strengthening him up. I asked and a cord had gotten caught around his leg until it cut off the circulation.

Anyway, water therapy is so good for dogs cuz of the weighlessness. Good to see Jaida loves the water. Funny how your other one, Gracie, hates the water.

Awww ~ she have a ball swimming in the river ! Ceili goes to a hydrotherapy pool and loves every minute (as does Bridie when she's allowed to come !). And they both love going to the beach. Bridie gets to chase balls, Ceili (for now) gets to swim on lead. Declan gets right into the water too ~ he's not one to play with anything but he get's this incredibly philisophical look on his face Make sure we gets lots of pix for the first river adventure !!!!
