Question Strong smelling Stool in Cat

My cat has developed a problem with his stool. It has become softer than normal (not loose) and smells just horrible. When he visits the litter box the whole house smells from it (just one visit). I have to immediatley clean the litter box completely and start with new. He has been eating the same food for almost 2 years and has been fine. His appetite has decreased over the last few months even walks away from his favourite fancy fiest dinner. I am sure it is not the food a fear the worst. I have an appointment at the vet but not for 2 weeks and would like any infor I can find in the mean time.

I"m glad you're taking him to the vet. The loss of appetite and change in stools should definitely be checked out.

Here's hoping it's nothing serious. I have no idea, but if he goes out, it could be one of many things.

Good luck and let us know!
