Unwelcome guest

So last night I was heading to bed 2am Pacific time & I always double check the apt door is locked & see where Duffy is, call her to bed. Well I come around the corner of the hall to see this, thankfully the light was on & I didn't lean my hand on the wall cuz it would've landed right on this guy. Spayed him 6 x w/Lysol (I hate the squishy feeling in the paper towel) it didn't kill it, so my unwelcome guest got a one way trip down the loo. freakin huge pidey btw the pic is actual size

Ew. I just shivered as I looked at the pic. Lucky takes care of all the insects here and that includes jumping to the tops of the windows to get any flies that managed to get in.

I tried to get Duffy to look @ it, she was not interested I think she already knew it was there - she only likes the bugs that fly (like the giagantic hairy moths ) they're entertaining thankfully she doesn't eat them anymore that's just

My (older) sister would've been screaming & ing had she been here, she's terrified of pideys, I'm not just would rather they be outside - like the little one on my balcony whose eating the other bugs

Isn't that just a Daddy Long-Legs? They are very shy and don't hurt anything! Though they do tickle when you let them walk up and down your arm !

Make sure that Jiorji sees this...

Yeah it was, but I was not about to walk it to the balcony door & bid it a fond farewell @ 2 am. The bugger wouldn't have stayed still for that - he was moving pretty quick down the hall carpet & blended in quite well too (carpet's mottled dark blue & white). I usually try not to kill the bugs (unless gigantic hairy moths ) cuz I don't like the squishy feeling but this one had to go.

Walking on my arm however that would've freaked me out

LOL but actually those don't bother me as much. It's those thick plump ones with tiny legs i find gross. Oh speaking of bugs... I've been accused of owning bedbugs. Yep. My friend came to visit and when she got home or shortly after she came to visit she found some rashes on her legs. And she did research and she figured they're from bedbugs. so she thinks it's me or the hotel she stayed at previously. But how can it be my apartment if i got no bites isn't that a bit odd? my money goes on the hotel.

ok Growler can you trap that and mail it to me?? Peanut LOVES them yum yum

Likely the hotel. you don't have them. They are as difficult, if not worse, than cockroaches to eradicate.

I thought they are nocturnal ~ meaning that you would have to be there lights off at night. Did you pull out the bed turn the mattress and inspect? Personally I would vaccuum the heck out of every nook and cranny on the couch and bed/ bed mechanism. ~ bugs don't scare me but I sure don't want them in my house let alone my bed.

I don't mind spiders too much, unless it's a Brown Recluse. They scare the beezeeejus out of me

Ewwww! If I took a pic of one of those on the bottom of a bottle, it would only be after it was smashed on it!

Okay all you pidey lovers out there, tonight I had yet another pidey in the apt, though not a daddy long legs, this was still pretty big about half an inch long & red too . This is my resident balcony pidey who was crawling up the couch pillow right beside me I wouldn't have noticed except for Duffy's intent stare. He is allowed on the balcony (cuz he eats the bugs ) but not in the house, so I pick up the pillow & shook him out onto the balcony. Has that redeemed me for sending the other one on a one way trip down the loo? Now of course I have that *creepy crawly* feeling like something's there crawling on my neck Guess there will be no more open windows/sliding glass door @ night anymore this year

No screen cuz Duffy loves to go outside & sit on the balcony & lord over the lowly first floor dwellers (we're on the 2nd) & watch the cats from the next building. Plus I rent only & there is no way the property manager would go for a screen very stingey (sp?) I just have to remember to keep the door & windows closed @ night now. Funny cuz early in the summer the only things coming in were flys & wasps now its moths & spiders

Those bugs you get ewwww
