Technodoll, after I take Bailey for her walk,I play with her in my backyard, she does not like to fetch, but loves to push a big ball, like a bulldozer through my garden...it's ok,it's nothing that won't grow back..
The cats love to hide in there, when it's time to go inside..
Everything is very lush around here,it's an old neighborhood, houses built in 1959..thank's for the compliments

Lovely gardens as usual!

It's true about them bouncing back.. my Berner ate all the rosa rugosa down to barely anything at the beginning of the season, they are now ready to burst with blooms. Appears he's a better gardener than I.

absolutely beautiful chico! I'm green with envy. I'm struggling to keep my plants alive with my little weedwhacker (Maia) around...

In the 3rd pic, what is the climber with the white flowers? Is it a type of clematis, I've been seeing more and more of them around.

I am just blushing!! From growing up in the city in a one room apt,I am not doing too bad and you are right I LOVE gardening.
I have 3 Clematises growing on my fence,I am really not too fond of them, blooming time is too short,my 2 others are dark purple and dark burgundy, pretty flowers but the rest of the summer it's just green.
Badger, you want to see my Shasta Daisies?I have TONS and they are just about to bloom....great,hardy,longlasting flowers as are the blackeyed Susans.

Oh Chico! How did I miss this thread?? I've seen your patio area, but the rest of your yard is absolutely beautiful too! Does snow cover all this in the winter? I know zilch about planting gardens that are winter hardy. Do most things die back and then come out again in the spring?

Glasslass, yes everything is snowcovered in the winter and when spring arrives, after cutting old growth back, everything comes back.
That is why I love the changing of the seasons, the excitment when everything comes alive again in the spring(it does not take much to make me excitet )
I have mostly hardy perrenials,my pots though are filled with annuals.
Right now the Shasta Daisies,Dahlias and all my Lillys are blooming
Mafiaprincess,my cats don't do any damage to my gardens, they love to hide in there, when it's time to go inside, but we know their secrets.
My backyard is made for playing and with all the critters visiting including Bailey, there has not yet been much damage,I really don't have many delicate plants.
A snowy pic

chico, your gardens are lovely! But why for the snowy pic? I personally love the way fluffy snow looks sitting on branches and the way ice can coat all the trees, looking like spun glass. (Although I hate the ongoing greyness and slush after awhile.)

Skryker,I did not mean it like that,I actually love the 4 seasons, even snow, but last winter there was not much snow.
I think we used the snowblower twice.
I just wanted to show Glasslass, that we get snow..
