Lost persian cat West Island
My neighbours have 2 persians (indoor cats), but one of them managed to sneak out 2 days ago.
I have a picture, but don't have a scanner. Her coat has been clipped pretty short, and it is a lovely bluish grey. Her name is Maggie, and she's a sucker for Temptation treats. I've been going outside here in Dollard-des-Ormeaux several times a day, calling her and shaking a bag of treats. I wonder if anyone might have taken her in, she's so beautiful. Has anyone seen a cat of that description in the West Island area these past days? |

She's probably still close by, established indoor cats rarely go far, at least in the first few days. She's likely too scared to come out during the day, so it is essential to look after dark, rattling her treats, calling, listening.
Maybe you could find an approximate picture of a persian with her colouring on the internet. Use it to make posters. Talk to the neighbours, ask them to look in any sheds or garages, in case she has been trapped somewhere. Put a box with a blanket or a piece of clothing with a familiar smell on the back or front porch (depending on where she made her escape), also a little food to attract her. The first few days are so important. |

Thank you for the excellent advice, Badger, I passed it on.
I'll let you know what happens. |
