Beautiful pics, Breeze. Banff is gorgeous and I'm glad you went on the gondola. I live in the Selkirk Mountains but they are nothing compared to the majestic Rockies.

Yesterday here was sunny and 7C. Woke up this morning to about an inch or so of wet snow and it has continued all day and only got up to 1C. It is supposed to stop overnight .....then sunny and 7C tomorrow.

I hope you just get the snow overnight but -14C sounds too darn cold for me.

Great pictures Breeze, I am so glad you enjoyed it .

... but OMG, total flashback to my bad-girl days . I lived in Banff and worked at the Sulphur Mountain Gondola shortly after I graduated high school. I was "in love" with one of those bad boy types and we spent about six months in Banff. It was and continues to be one of the most beautiful places I have ever been .

I even did a local commercial when I worked there welcoming people to Banff and inviting them to try the gondola. The woman who was supposed to do it was our manager and she totally freaked at the idea of being on camera so I had to do it instead. Unfortunately we didn't have a tv or cable in our staff accomodation so I never saw the commercial :frustrated, but a friend who saw the commercial in her hotel room, recognized me and came to see me at work.

Sorry for the threadjack .

I had to quickly scroll past the downward shots from the gondola . The photos are so good that I nearly had a panic attack .

Banff is absolutely breathtaking. Can't wait to see more ...preferably from the ground up .
