Does your cat ever hack after sipping water??

Not all the time but once in awhile after roxy has taken a few sips of water,i will here this heh heh sound,not quite hacking but that is the closest i can describe it and only after she drinks water ,anyone ever heard of this??

Cats tend to be rather inefficient drinkers, so maybe Roxy is getting water down the wrong pipe. I had a cat that was always getting water up his nose when he drank, which would make him snort.

Or, perhaps the water is tickling a hairball? Really, I have no idea.

I dont know either,my god she drinks it so dainty like,laps it up slow,but 80 % of the time she starts making that noise right after,she has never threw up hairballs,so i was curios if anyone elses cat did this,but i guess it is just another cute unique roxy quality,,

Not that exactly no, but I do have one that tests the water with his nose then sneezes all over in it.

Yep. My cats and dogs both do it. So do I Like sugarcat said, I think it's just being inhaled rather than swallowed Silly cats.
