Lost Cat

My cat went missing last night and I'm very worried about him.
We are in the Don Mills/Sheppard area of North York.
He is just over a year old, and is fixed with his shots. He is an orange tabby, with white "gloves", white "boots" and a white belly, chest and chin.
He has no microchip nor any ID tags since he was a permanently indoor cat.
He was wearing a red collar with a bell on it.
He is usually extremely affectionate and loves people.

Sorry your fellow went missing.
Put a box with something familiar in it, his blanket or an old unwashed T-shirt of yours, on your porch, along with some food.
As an indoor cat, he'll be nervous and may be hiding very close by. Which is not to say that he'll stay there, so the early days are very important. Go out after dark with a flashlight and some favourite food; bang the can or shake the container as you walk, calling his name. Listen for his meow.
If he is friendly, someone may have taken him to the local pound so go there often (don't just call) to check.
Make a poster with his picture and plaster it all over the neighbourhood, in, say, a 3-5 block radius.
Talk to your neighbours and show them his picture. Ask them to look in their sheds and garages, to make sure someone hasn't inadvertently locked him in.
Place ads in local papers.
Do not give up.

Smile Found!!

Thanks Badger for the info. I found him tonight - in the teeming rain.

A neighbour had seen him earlier in the evening, and had called me over, but he was too scared to come out of the bushes. I went back again tonight when it was dark, rainy and quiet, and he came out right away.

I am so happy to have him back .... he thinks that I just ruined all his fun.

Thanks for having this forum, just in case!
