Sweet Pea

We are currently screening in a portion of our deck. We had enough of it done, that Sweet Pea was allowed her first adventure outside.

Sweet Pea asking very nicely to please stop bringing in those small whipper snippers, they are exhausting me trying to keep them under control.

Oooooo...I envy that deck you have! My gang wants that!

Sweet Pea is such a little cutie. And that picture of her and Jasper playing is lovely.

Thank you guys, Jasper and Puddles don't like the deck because they can't get out to the grass.

Hopefully the deck will be completed next weekend.

Sweet Pea is such a lovely kitty, she really is a very good house cat, she just doesn't like some kitties and Puddles is one of those on her "I don't like you for some reason" list.

Yup, she was my foster, momma to my first group of kittens. She has almost doubled her weight, has a huge food issue. Really my fault, I didn't reduce her food intake when she was weaning those 7 kittens of hers and it was then that she ballooned so quickly.

We are putting in a wood stove and putting plexiglass over the screens so it will be warm in the winter so the kitties can still get some fresh air.

You can come by anytime, just have to bring all your doggies with you. Of course there are no guarantees to bring them back home with you.

She's beautiful! Seems to be enjoying the scenery, too.

That really is a lovely screened in area--did you have to roof it, too, or was it a porch to start with? I'd love to have a place like that to sit outside away from our voracious crop of mosquitoes this year.

Is that a bird feeding station outside for her to watch? I can just imagine putting in ledges and cat walks for her to climb on.

We designed and built the house ourselves so we have all our decks covered.

That is a bird feeding station and of course the squirrels and chipmunks come to feed too. The ledge that is currently there is big enough for her to walk on, but DH is thinking about adding a three inch ledge for her comfort. That is the same DH that complains we have too many cats.

Yeah, gotta love those closet softies.
Tell him he can comiserate with my hubby. You guys get the "cat house". Can you imagine what we get? It isn't a bad. thing. I just tell them to suck it up unless they want to deal with the problem.

Sweet Pea got out of the screen room. On one of the temp screens (you can see it on the shot of Sweet Pea looking out at the bird feeders) that we had screening only a couple feet up, she jumped over the screen and onto the ground. Think it must have shocked her as she didn't move after she hit the ground It is quite a drop for her and she probably wasn't expecting it.

She is grounded until all the permanent screens are put up this weekend.

I love the idea of a screened in deck. The next place I move to I'd like to have something like that for my gang.

Both gorgeous deck...and kitties too of course. Now, tell me honestly, did you build that for you or for the kitties to enjoy? Or for you to enjoy the kitties enjoying it ?

Thank you, chico, yes she is looking so much more relaxed since she got rid of her 7 kittens Now she wants to get rid of the 4 fosters even though she is only with them 4 hours a day, brings back too many horror memories of hers

She was probably figuring out if she was really outside or not when she hit the ground. It's funny to watch them when they aren't used to it.
